Cashmere Sweaters

You just have to love goats because these animals produce the fine, silky wool that is used to create cashmere sweaters. This wool is also very popular for creating upscale coats, jackets, hats, scarves and throws.

Cashmere, silks, and other choice fabric materials have long been coveted by people who have an eye for the finest and most desirable items. With cashmere wool a garment combines lightweight feel with warmth and indescribable softness.

If you have already bought some type of cashmere products you are well aware of the elegantly delicate texture that each item possesses.

If you haven't yet experienced the beautiful indulgence of wearing cashmere then it's probably about time you discovered how wonderful these garments actually are.

There are certain breeds of goats that have exceptionally fine wool and these animals are highly prized as producers of cashmere. The shearing or "combing out" of the wool is a natural part of life for the goats and does not hurt them in any way.

In fact you might view cashmere wool as a sustainable fabric that can be worn without offending anyone's sensibilities when it comes to animal rights.

Many of the goats that are bred for cashmere can be found in such countries as Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia. The most exceptional cashmere wool however is only found on a breed of goats that live in the Mongolian Mountains.

The harsh, bitterly cold winters have helped the goats develop very soft and warm woolen fibers that keep them insulated against temperatures that may reach a low of -50 C.

This is the wool that is so prized by manufacturers who specialize in creating the finest cashmere loungewear, coats, scarves and sweaters.

If you purchase some of the cashmere sweater that is made from the wool collected in Mongolia you might be interested to know that every strand is gently combed from the goat during the spring months. Although some of the cashmere goats are sheared quickly in some countries the Mongolian goats are carefully combed so that the collected fibers are long, tangle free and remain in as perfect condition as possible.

Now that you understand a little more about the collection process for raw cashmere fibers you probably have a new appreciation for those exquisitely soft cashmere garments that you have seen on department store shelves or being offered by online merchants. Each item is extraordinarily soft to the touch and surrounds the wearer in a feeling of unabashed luxury.

While cashmere coats, scarves and sweaters have been sold for a number of years newer garment styles have been created to expand the available product line. Cashmere knitwear have become extremely popular with the public and these items are available at very affordable prices, especially when you factor in the labor intensive work that is necessary to collect the cashmere wool and then design and manufacture each garment.

You know that you deserve the best and with a wardrobe containing such items as cashmere sweaters. All you need are cashmere wool socks and a cashmere knitwear to enjoy the indulgent sensation that results when you wear these high end luxury products.
